Last summer, I was able to take a cruise on Holland America's "Statendam". We departed from Vancouver, and arrived 7 days later at Seward, Alaska. Throughout this 7-day journey I couldn't find anything wrong with the cruise. From the first day, everyone was extremely courteous. The food was AMAZING, and there was everything for everyone. You could go swimming, work out, read a book in the library, play shuffleboard, go to "The Crow's Nest" and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or just relay in our room. No matter what we decided to do, we had fun. Also, the land tours were unbelievable. From biking to riding a helicopter through the mountains to a glacier, we enjoyed everything Alaska had to offer.

I do have to admit though, there was one problem with the cruise. One, it seemed that wherever we went, people were trying to sell us things. Also, we went on the land tour through Alaska, and I must admit, it was subpar. Everything that was great about the cruise, was horrible about the land tour.

Even though the post-cruise land tour was horrible, I must admit the the overall experience is extremely positive.
