Our first cruise and I was a nervous wreck... terrified of getting seasick, not knowing what to expect. By the time I got off the ship
I was furious at myself for wasting even a moment of worry about this
wonderful trip. It was a dream.
Yes, the seas were rough from New York to Bermuda but since I had
obtained "the patch" for seasickness prevention (highly recommended)
I didn't get sick at all and slept like a baby. Unfortunately, many
other people got seasick, mostly because they were partying it up
as soon as they got on board! (I tend to get motion sickness even
on a bus so I took no chances!)
The boarding process was easy despite hearing horror stories about
long lines and backups - this was an unexpected surprise. We got
right to our stateroom and it was lovely - roomy and clean. We had
an outside cabin with a window and had a little "living room" area
to section off with a curtain.
What can you say about the food - except that it was exceptional.
My husband never missed a midnight buffet - the three regular meals
were terrific. We actually longed for a simple hamburger and was happy
to find that they served them all day near the sports bar!
Going into port was easy and a joy... but who cared if we ever left the
ship? It was so nice! I highly recommend Norwegian... the staff was
wonderful and they had a lot of activities. The only problem we had
was the ship was sooooo huge it took us a while to get used to the layout and then it was time to go home! Sigh.
