Pros: Service, price, cleanliness of ship
Cons: food presentation, tiny rooms special buffets
The Bottom Line: A great trip for "cruise virgins". Often, short cruises have small and old ships but this was definitely not the case. Had a great time!!

| Barryk's Full Review: Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas |
My husband and I recently returned from a 4-night cruise on the Majesty of the Seas. It was for my 50th birthday and the first cruise for both of us. We had a great time! I was a little concerned about getting around since my husband uses a manual wheelchair, but the RCI staff made everything as easy as possible. There was even a special lowered counter at check-in, so that he could fully participate in the process. We were also very concerned about getting seasick, since both of us are susceptible. This was never an issue and most of the time we couldn’t tell if we were docked or moving. I’m sure having nice weather and smooth seas helped. Our cabin, on the 3rd deck, was extremely small, but extremely clean. The bathroom was tiny! There was not enough room the store the wheelchair in the room and my husband didn’t even need his cane since the room was so small there was always a wall to lean on. The room was decorated with all kinds of streamers and balloons and flowers for my birthday...a special treat pre-arranged by my husband.
We ate breakfasts and lunches at the Windjammer buffet (rather than sit-down in the dining room), where we found the food to be plentiful and delicious! A nice variety each day. For dinner, we sat at a table with 4 other couples who were about our age and they were all very nice. The food at dinner was very good, but we were disappointed with the presentation of the food. Except for the deserts, the appetizers and main courses often looked "dumped" onto the plates. I think a little more care with presentation could go a long way. It probably would have even made the food taste better. Midnight buffets were nothing special.
There was a very wide variety of ages on the cruise from infants to elderly and there were 140 honeymoon couples
The RCI staff was extremely helpful in assisting us with debarkation at the various ports. We had not planned to get off the ship at Coco Cay, their private island, thinking that there was no way we could handle the ferry to the island and the beach with the wheelchair. Our assistant waiter convinced us that we "had to" go and that there would be no problem...she was right!! The staff helped us onto the ferry and when we got to the island, there was a special beach wheelchair waiting for us.
The nightly entertainment was good. The cruise entertainment staff really worked very hard to keep everyone laughing. The casino was not a big attraction for us but it was nice and always busy. We definitely plan to cruise again and we would not hesitate to cruise with RCI.
