This is about the seven day "golden fleece" cruise beggining at Pireaus (port of Athens) and goes to Iraklion Crete, Santorini, Rhodes, Patmos, Kusadasi (ancient city of Ephesus),Instabul (Konstantinoupolis for us the greeks), Mykonos and back to Pireaus.
We (me, my wife and my two years old daughter) took this cruise at the beggining of October and we paid almost 1800 dollars (for my daughter i paid only the port taxes about 150 dollars).
This price was for a "superior inside cabin, DA category" located at "Emerald deck".
The price do not include the drinks and the gratuities (you pay them at the end of the cruise to the chief steward if you feel so). I have to say that i gave more than the amount is specified by the company because i was very pleased with all the personel aboard.
I have to say that i have a passion for the ships so for me this cruise was something very special because i have the opportunity to go out to the seas aboard the famous TSS STELLA SOLARIS.
We are talking about an old but very well maintained ship which has some characteristics that is very difficult to find in younger ships (wraparound teak wood deck, polish bronze hand rails, a very high space to passenger ratio -only 600 passengers for the 18000 dwt ship- enormous and very nice decorated public rooms and probably the best crew in the cruise industry today).
As a result i have to say that i will not do something different next time and i will try to get aboard the STELLA SOLARIS any time i have the chance.
So, i strongly reccomend this and any other cruise aboard this magnificent ship to the people who knows to appreciate "real" ships and culture rich destinations.
