Pros: Luxurious sized rooms with a full bathtub and ample closet space. Great crew and passengers.
Cons: Food was not fancy but even a picky eater like me found more than enough to pig out on thank you.

My mother and I sailed aboard the 'STELLA' from November 30 to December 11, 1999.We embarked at Piraeus, Greece after a few days of sight seeing in and around Athens.
I suggest this to all travelers to take a couple of days at each end of a cruise in order to see the sights of your embarkation and disembarkation cities and truly enjoy your whole cruise experience.
We boarded the ship and had a night and a day docked at Piraeus. It was wonderful to just be able to walk ashore and enjoy this lovely port with its markets and shops. The people were very hospitable but some small shops like drugstores would only take Greek money. Most shops did take visa or American cash.
The suite on this ship was large and well laid out, with a sitting area, four closets and a large bathroom with a full size tub and shower. It was truly luxurious to take a soak after a long day of sight-seeing and walking before joining our table in the dining room for late sitting for dinner.
The crew was friendly as well as helpful beyond expectations. I forgot to pack my shampoo and conditioner from the Chandris Hotel in Athens and the purser called the hotel and was able to arrange for these items to be brought to her for me and I was able to get them on board before we set sail.
I thank both the Chandris Hotel in Athens and the Royal Olympic purser for doing such a sensitive job of helping and taking care of the passengers. This may seem like a little thing but it made my trip because I did not have to worry about a bad hair day for the duration of the vacation.
The ports of call were wonderful, Athens, Naples, Capri/Anacapri, Rome, Nice/Monaco/Monte Carlo, etc., ending in Lisbon.
We hit 9-10 foot waves during one of our sea days. I was lucky to have a sea stomach as well as sea legs, but my mother was not so lucky. Each decks' hospitality desk had medication free that helped her greatly.
The tour companies and guides used at each port of call were of the highest quality and the lunches served with the tours were exceptionally good. Freddie's Resturant in Monaco served a sublime salmon filet in a scrumptious sauce, as well as a fresh pear tartin with whipped cream. Yumm-yumm.
I hope to sail on the 'STELLA' again soon for it was a cruise of a lifetime. Perhaps I'll try one of her sister ships.
