This was our third time on the Sea Goddess and our fifth cruise. Obviously, since we continue to re-book, we are very pleased with the overall Sea Goddess experience. Despite reviews in Conde Nast and others, we have not found any cruise line to surpass the luxury and wonderful service that we find on the Sea Goddess. (The Windstar to Tahiti and the Legend through the Panama Canal are ok, but not anywhere near the same ballpark.) The excursions are included in the price, and they are well-planned and informative. There is nothing like being handed a cool moist towel and a chilled glass of champagne upon returning to the ship after a hot ride through the jungle!
The staff knows your name immediately, and that personalized service is so welcome and sincere, especially considering the no-tipping-expected policy. Special requests at dinner are accommodated with pleasure, and the maitre d', Christophe, takes special pride in making his guests feel wonderful. Yes, the initial price shock may shave a few years off your life, but the number of return bookings will tell you that this ship gives a very high return on your investment.
