Pros: The food, the fun, the friendliness, about everything....
Cons: We're not still there :-(
The Bottom Line: If you love relaxing, outdoors, fun people, and casual times-of-your-life, DO IT. If you want to dress up and go to tourist traps with 2000 sheep, call Kathie Lee.

| dankuhn77's Full Review: Windjammer Mandalay |
Let me start out by saying that before this cruise, I had no desire to go on a "foo-foo" ship cruise, and now that I have been on a Windjammer, I have even less. This honeymoon was quite simply the vacation of our dreams, living up to everything we expected and more.
The Ship: The Mandalay is a great ship, beautifully restored to tall ship grandeur. We even got to do some real sailing on one of the days (when it was so windy we couldn't hold anchor at Tobago Cays). Our room (an Admiral's Suite) of course was small but honestly not on the level we had heard about. It was big enough for the two of us very comfortably, and all we did there was sleep anyway. Our cabin steward, Anthony, was among the friendliest and most helpful people we've ever met in the service industry. Captain Matt seems to truly enjoy his job and yet takes seriously the safety and success of each voyage.
The Islands: We started in Grenada, went to Mayreau, Bequia, and St. Lucia. Tobago Cays is a usual destination but as i said there was too much wind there to anchor. All of the islands were beautiful, not over-touristy (Mayreau doesn't even have electric), and the people were terrific.
The Food: This was a culinary cruise, so our food was top notch. Special guest chef Katy Keck was on board from the Today show and many other ventures. Wine consultant Michael Green of Gourmet magazine was also on board so that we had a different fine wine with every course. Everything except in-between meals drinks is included. In-between meal drinks are purchased with doubloons, which are $10 a piece and cover anywhere from 4 to 12 drinks depending on what you get. Overall the drinks cost probably a little less then at your local dive bar.
Excursions: From Bequia we took the Falls of Baleine speedboat tour, HIGHLY recommended... it's a blast of excitement combined with beautiful scenery and great swimming and snorkeling. All of the other excursions we heard people going on were well received as well.
Other fun: Some should best be experienced when you get there, guests can make friends or not, however much you want to.
A great time.
