Pros: Great weather, great beaches, variety of hotel selection, very friendly people!
Cons: Moderately priced hotels can be found, but most hotel properties are more expensive-- more than $200 a night.

| JanGail's Full Review: Aruba |
We have been to Aruba twice. Our first trip to Aruba was in July 1999
for one week at the Manchebo Beach Resort; our second visit to Aruba was
in April 2000 as a port of call on a cruise. We are currently planning
our third trip to Aruba in February 2001.
My primary disagreement is with one of the reviews that stated that
Aruba's beaches was too crowded and there were too many people. This
reviewer stayed at La Cabana, which is a timeshare resort popular with
families.
However, Aruba has other resort properties that are smaller: The Bucuti
Beach Resort and the Manchebo Beach Resort. Both resorts have about
70 rooms and are located on a huge, very wide beach that is uncrowded.
Not only that, these resorts tend to cater to adult clientle, so there
are few children there. Both resorts do not offer children's programs
and do not have a casino on site. Both of these resorts are laid back,
quieter, yet close enough to a nearby casino, restaurants, other
hotels, and close to downtown. Some places are a short cab ride, other
places are within walking distance. There are plenty of activities to do
in Aruba, and many fine restaurants to dine in.
I would recommend Aruba without hesitation.
