Pros: Beautiful, tranquil, friendly, sincere, safe, adventures, sailor's dream
Cons: Somewhat remote, technically lagging (Internet, newspapers, etc.), culturally lacking
The Bottom Line: You can't top Leverick Bay for value for the money on Virgin Gorda.

| thekohser's Full Review: Virgin Gorda |
The location of Leverick Bay was the site of our honeymoon in January 2000. We could not have asked for a more perfect place and community to welcome us! By leasing one of the privately-owned hillside homes/condos through an agent, you get a really affordable deal. They even have a honeymoon/couples package that allows you 2-days jeep rental, 2-days use of a motor dinghy, and snorkeling equipment. I recall our 1-week price for a 2-bedroom condo and all extras was under $1500. You can't top that!
Darren and Deb, the owners of the Lighthouse restaurant and shops (formerly Pusser's Leverick Bay) couldn't be any more friendly, personable, and accomodating. Because our flight was delayed and the "last ferry" was our way in, the restaurant had closed. But when they saw that "the honeymooners" had finally arrived (at 10:00 PM!) they opened up the kitchen again and served us the first of our many great-tasting meals.
The owners of the Watersports rental office were also two great people, willing to be your real friends among an island of friendly strangers.
You have a fairly wide choice of places to stay on the island of Virgin Gorda, but for your money, I don't think you can beat Leverick Bay. You are a 10-minute boat ride from the Sandbox on Prickly Pear Island, Saba Rock, Bitter End, and Biras Creek. You are a 20-minute jeep ride from the Baths, Little Dix, and Spanish Town. But, you just might be satisfied to spend several of your days and nights right at Leverick Bay!
