Pros:crazy, noisy, quaint, just like the markets of old
Of all the markets in london I've been to -- from the obvious, packed camden market to the humble chapel market by my house (3-4 years ago) to greenwich market -- the most awe-inspiring is Brick Lane Market, near the Shoreditch tube station.

It's enormous and still has the squawk and clutter that you'd imagine these markets had at their peak before consumer retail took over. From cluttered bookstalls embedded in arched brick walls to clamorous produce or food stalls, complete with loud, shouting barkers drumming up enthusiasm for their wares, to absolute bargains on adhesive tape, screwdrivers, canned soup, electric fans -- brick lane rules.
go early and bring a big bag. it's nuts, it's got everything.
