The Musee D'Orsay is one of my all-time favorite museums in the whole world-and that's saying a lot as I've been to over one third of the world's countries. By contrast, only a short subway trip away is one of my all-time LEAST favorite museums in the whole world-the L'ouvre.

Where the Musee D'Orsay is exciting, colorful and magical-the L'ouvre is boring, drab and a complete bomb. If you like Rodin, Manet, Monet and other impressionists, this is a must see. If you don't know these artists, then just go-trust me, you'll be thanking me later.

I would recommend the Musee D'orsay to every human being in the world, but for the L'ouvre...this is one you can miss alltogether.

It's easy to lose track of time in the Musee D'Orsay, so I recommend you pack a lunch (or you'll wind up paying five dollars for an espresso in its restaurant). Also, I recommend you bring a loved one, as for years and years after your visit you'll still be talking about the magic of the Musee D'Orsay.
