Paris is home to many wonderful artists and museums. I have been able to visit many of these museums, and my favorite is le Musee d'Orsay.
This museum is a must for anyone that is interested in the impressionist movement. Le Musee d'Orsay has an impressive collection by Monet, and it features many of his most known works. There are many works by other great artists like Manet, Cezanne, and Vincent Van Gogh. There are other types of art in the museum as well, including postimpressionism and sculpture.
This museum is fairly large, but one can see everything it has to offer in an afternoon, unlike the Louvre. The price of admission is reasonable, and the line to get in moves pretty quickly. The museum also offers a gift shop for the die hard art fans where one can purchase t-shirts, books, postcards, etc, of their favorite artists.
I am not really interested in art, but seeing many of the works featured in this museum made me appreciate art in a new way. I would definitely recommend this museum to anyone with a slight interest in the fine arts.
