This is a good surprise: I went there with my cousin and his wife who live in the district. The decoration is very basic to none. They do not accept credit cards. You must call for a reservation as the place is always packed.
The food is excellent, I am told that some of the fishermen who provide the restaurant's main speciality (fish and seafood) actually go there to eat. Don't expect a menu, you will be advised on the fresh food and after an incredible choice of "Antipasti" you will choose your first course "Primo piatto", which is usually pasta, and your "secondo piatto" (main course) which is, of course, fish or seafood. I'm not sure they serve meat, but I wouldn't be surprised.
You choose your fish from the counter with all the seafood products (some of them alive). Otherwise, just follow the waiter's advice. You won't be disappointed.
Service is typically Sardinian. Smiles are rare, the waiters are honest, hard-working people. Don't expect them to speak english as if it was logical they should. They'll be probably in a hurry because of the number of tables they must attend. I haven't seen airconditioning where we were seated but I can't say for other rooms.
Compared to other restaurants, this one exceeds in quality of the recipes and freshness of the food. I have paid 200.000 lira (including wine) for three adults but we ate for three hours too.
