Pros: nice scenery, friendly people, good food, good shopping, lots of fun!
Cons: there was a big fire while we were there...a little smoky!, couldn't speak Italian!

Not only is Sardinia an attractive island, but it is also a really fun place to go for the whole family. I went there a few years ago and the scenery from where we were staying was just spectacular. We actually rented villas to stay in which had the 'Spanish look' about them. The beaches are wonderful and the people are very friendly. Many shops and restaurants are in walking distance and we would often walk down to the restaurants at night.
While eating out, one thing you cannot miss is the pizza called the Margarita. It is the best pizza I think I have ever had. I remember while visiting Sardinia picking up some good bargains too while out shopping.
If I could leave and return to Sardinia, I would be back there in a heart beat. I would recommend it for a summer vacation especially if you are from up north or somewhere cold! It is the ideal family summer vacation.
