If you go to Sevilla (and you should, you really should!) March/April is probably one of the best times to go. The orange trees that line the streets of Sevilla are in full bloom and the air smells absolutely amazing!
If you can, stay near (or in) the Barrio de Santa Cruz. This is an older part of Sevilla. Staying in the Barrio de Santa Cruz I felt as if I had stepped into another age for awhile. It is right by the Cathedral and the Alcazar, both of which are absolutely amazing.
Horses and Carriages line the plaza where the cathedral and the Alcazar are. Rides are fairly inexpensive and although I didn't take one while I was in Sevilla, it looked like a good way to see the city if you are too tired to walk any farther.
If you climb up to the bell tower in the Cathedral (35 stories up!) you can see across Sevilla in all directions. It is beautiful! Everything in Sevilla is just amazing.
I went to Sevilla around March 10, 2000, the temperature was between 75-80, the sun was out, there were people everywhere. It was beautiful.
See Flamenco dancing here if you can, there is a place called Los Gallos that usually has Flamenco dancing. I went to it when I was there, it was the second time I had ever seen Flamenco...once again, I was astounded by the absolute beauty of the dancing and how much the dancers lost themselves in the rhythm and the music.
If you go to Sevilla, get the ice cream! (Actually if you go anywhere in Spain do this) Their ice cream is the best I have ever had, and the cones are good enough to eat by themselves!
In short:
Go to Sevilla! You won't regret it. Take some orange blossoms home and press them between a journal or something so every time you open it you will smell the orange blossoms and be reminded of the times you had in Sevilla.
