Our visit to Toledo occured soon after we finished the last 125 km of the Camino de Santiago(Way of Saint James). I was really excited because Dad said that we could do all the shopping we wanted to do in Toledo, because we had to use up the pesedas. The first day we got there we decided to go to the hotel first, and then we'd check out the town. From the balcony, you could see the whole city. It was beutiful! There was no TV in the room so first I had to look at all the free stuff they gave us. They gave us a comb, shoe polish, shampoo, conditioner, and more. Then we all played cards and took naps. Later on, after most of the stores were closed, we went to look at the town. You have to be careful so that you don't walk into a side street.
The next day we went shopping. You could find jewlery, dolls, suveniers, clothes, antiques, pottery, swords, guns and more. I bought a flamenco dancer doll, a beutiful ring, and some football(soccer)pens. They are really cool! There were also many resteraunts in Toledo. You have to be careful though, while shopping on Toledo. Because of Siesta, most of the stores close around 2:30 PM!!!!!!So, make sure you plan your time wisely.
