Cuzco is one of the best cities in the world for young people. You can achieve in just one trip historical interests, party and nature entertainment.
Cuzco is very clean and has a lot of attractions: It mix a colonial architecture with ruins around the city. There are good night clubs and young people from all countries of the road.
You must spend at least one week in cuzco, specially if you are pretending to make the tracking to Macchu Picchu (wich takes four days). If you are in a small group, I suggest that you spend sometime in Cuzco and meet people to make the track together.
You must find a hotel near the *Plaza del Armas*, because everything is around this square. It rains a lot during summertime, so itīs better to go on winter. Americans remember that when itīs summer on the US, is winter at South America!
I had just one problem in Cuzco: Itīs very hard to exchange old dollar notes. People there donīt look if your money is true or false, but just if itīs a new one. I suggest that you take travellers checks.
