Located at 23 Shaul Hamelech in Tel Aviv, this bistro serves exquisite food at reasonable prices. The food served here is elegant and sophisticated is presentation. It is not, however, kosher. If this is a consideration for you, you might want to consider eating elsewhere. More important than the presentation, the food is flavorfully delicious. Too often, bistro food is just ordinary. The food at Roshfeld is not ordinary. My non-vegetarian friends raved over the bruscetta with roasted red-peppers and grilled anchovies appetizer. I liked the Saffron-flavored risotto. The real hit of the evening, and one to make me reconsider my vegetarian habits, was the osso buco. (I held out, but it was tempting.)
The service is professional and friendly. For our first time party, they were able to make good suggestions. Others who have gone on our suggestion have confirmed our first opinion of both service and food. Despite the elegant food and atmosphere, this is still a bistro and you will feel comfortable going dressed casually.
I went to Roshfeld on the recommendation of a friend and have since recommended it. I'll be back again. If you're in Tel Aviv and not worried about keeping Kosher, this maybe a good place for you.
