If there is one thing I enjoy the most when I am not entertaining myself reading reviews of others in Epinions... Its playing BINGO.
Throughout all my travels I have always found the nearest Bingo Hall. My most favorites of all are playing Canadian Bingo in Fort Erie, Ontario.
Being that I am in the southern suburbs of Buffalo New York. I would be coming from the United States. Simply by following NY Rte 5 to the skyway and take I 90 North to the Peace bridge. Pay the toll of $2.25 and you’re off to the customs booth. Once you have gotten clearance to enter Canada... take exit 1 B to Garrison road turn right on to Garrison Road and follow it to the first hall on the left called Uncle Sam’s Bingo. If you are to late for the starting of that game go a little further by a mile or so and you will find Delta Bingo Hall on the left.
My two favorite Halls in Fort Erie are both located on Garrison Road, with starting times within one half an hour from each other. They play continuous throughout the day so you have your choices of sessions you would like to play.
There is also the Golden Nugget Bingo located at 655 Garrison that as games that start at 1 PM. Personally I have never played at this hall. Therefore I have no real details to share with you on this. If you would like more information on their games call 1-888-739-6149.
Why do I love to play BINGO? For many reasons, it is relaxing and exciting at the same time, they offer excellent prize amounts and best of all... If I pay for my cards in the US dollar I win US dollars if I am lucky enough to win that is. Another is it is a great way to entertain and spend time with my Aunt... she loves the game!
Fort Erie bingo compared to New York Bingo offer much more of a session Payoff for the number one reason I enjoy driving over to play.
The first game of the day starts at Delta at 10:15 AM. On a typical bingo day I will drive over to pick up my 80 year old Aunt Rose. It takes me approximately one half hour once I pick her up to get to the hall so we plan it accordingly as to the time we play. We make a day of it together.
Okay there we are at the hall that is quite large and has a large seating capacity designated with a smoking and NON smoking section for players.
As soon as you walk in they have the booth all set up to purchase your packages. Which there is a difference in the packs to distinguish which is bought in the American dollar and which you purchase in the Canadian dollar, so there is no confusion to the floor workers who make the payoffs.
They offer a 7.00 book which includes a group of nine paper cards per regular game and you will have too buy your jackpot specials separate at 1.00 per 3 card sheet or you can choose a package for 11.00 which gives you 9 cards per regular game, plus 18 cards to play on the jackpot game. So for the 4 extra dollars it is worth paying for the SUPER book!
Okay you have your game book in hand and off to find a table. The hall is set up to where there are TV monitors throughout and finding a comfortable seat is not hard even at the busiest sessions.
Next thing you will need to buy is the extra games they offer. The first extra game not sold in the pack is the Blue Special that you play a two-line bingo first for 100. Cash prize and continue on for a coverall the payoff is an 80/20% with 80% going to the winner with a maximum payoff of 2000. In one session. The cost for a 3 on sheet is 2.00 per card. Have I won this game...? Yes I have. A few times and the payoff once was 2000.00 all cash and TAX-free... WOOHOO! Over a period of time I won it for another 1700.00 and 1300.00. Once again, just recently since my last visit for a split of 680.00...darn that other person who bingo'd with me...lol (Tips are always appreciated by the floor attendants!)
The next big payoff is the SUPER Jackpot. The cards cost 2.00 per 3 on sheet. This is a Jackpot that must go in a designated number for that session starting at 50 numbers and the numbers do increase per session until it is won, but the payoff is still 3300.00 for the Full card if you are lucky enough to get it within the designated number. This game was won by my Aunt twice in the times we played. I have never been that lucky...but lucky enough at times. This game was paid by a check issued by the sponsoring organization for that session. Although it was a Canadian bank the 3300.00 written out payable in US funds.
I have seen many win on under the 50 numbers so it is not impossible to win at any session. This game offers a three-way play; first game is regular bingo for 100. Then onto the inside frame for 200. The coverall in so many numbers for 3300. If for some reason you do not win on the designated number they will play on till won for a consolation prize of 600.
Now the regular games in your package consist of a one-line bingo paying out 50. Then onto a two line bingo for another 50. Ending each game with a designated Letter to make for 200. They play the following Letters in the game pack. Letter X, L, +, H, Z and T...the + is called the center cross by the way.
The last game in the Super pack is the 1000.00 jackpot, if you did not purchase the super book then you must buy the 3 on sheet for 1.00 per sheet to play. This game offers a one-line bingo with a payoff of 100. a two-line bingo for 100.00 and a full card for 1000.00 to the winner. Best of all, you get a second chance at the full card after the 1000.00 was won to keep playing until another full card is filled for a consolation of 250.00. Can't beat that for the price.
They also have a snack bar with soups and sandwiches and such. Two coffee carts that travels the hall equipped with sodas and chips. The attendants will also place a food order for you as you sit and play. Most of the time its service with a smile... depending on how busy they are...and how demanding the players are!
Now I have compiled a list of times at the two halls I play in Fort Erie.
