Well, this was an exiting trip that I would DEFINATELY do again!!! As part of a school trip, we were invited to Monterey, Mexico. We performed a full concert tour by day, and partied all night! We started off our trip by bus from Laredo to Monterey. The only problem with this was the checkpoints and automatic weapons!!! We finally entered Monetery, and stayed at the Hilton. This town is VERY Beautiful. The mountains are a definate sight to see and the people were very nice. This town hasn't been blemished b the tourist traps of Cancun, etc. There was plenty to do, and everything was pretty cheap! I found an Armani Suit for $100. The market had everything from blankets to food! There were tours to the mountain, and there were casinos!!! They had spanish mission with a lot of history, and many other buildings in perfect repair! They also had a mall that is what you would consider a MEGA-MALL! This had everything from a grocery store to restaurants! They had the original Carlos and Charlies in this mall.(Senor Frogs). This place was totally hip! The food was great, and the alcohol was cheap and plentiful! They had a DJ and very colorful decorum. From the baskets upside-down on the ceiling, to the waitstaff, this was definatley a great experience! I ended up grabbing a dummy in the corner and dancing with it to a hot latino-fusion piece!
Basically, this was a great trip that was not too expensive. I would definatley go back and would recommend this place to anyone!!!
