| yamm's Full Review: Brisbane |
Brisbane is the land of the sun. It is sunny all year round. The beaches, rainforests, theme-parks and landmarks, makes Brisbane the perfect place to take a tropical holiday, with an Aussie twist! It is the gateway to luxury, fun and some of the best sandy beaches that Australia has to offer!
BEACHES
Brisbane is famous for its fantastic sandy shored beaches! And once you've been there you can tell why. The water is crystal clear and warm, making it perfect for: Scoober diving, surfing or just splashing around in the water with your best friends! The palms swaying in the wind and the water lapping against the sandy shore makes it the perfect paradise. But the sand and the water and the sand isn't all that the beach has to offer. There are many beach side cafe's and bars where you can eat in or eat out on the beach. There are also a huge range of shops where you can be sure to get a beach side bargin!!
THEME-PARKS!
The beaches are not all that Brisbane has to offer. If you take an hour drive south you will find the home of Australia's four favourite theme-parks. Dreamworld, Movie world, Sea world and wet'n'wild water world!
DREAMWORLD:
Dreamworld is my favourite of the four, because it has some of the best thrill high rush rides that Australia has on offer. It is also the home of Big Brother! It has rides for the whole family and also includes and Australians wildlife park where you are free to explore and walk around!
MOVIE WORLD:
Movie world is a great place for those who love movies and movie magic. You can see sets and props from some of your favourite Warner Brothers movies. It is not the home of high rush rides like dreamworld, but is still a fun day out for all the family!
SEA WORLD:
Sea world is a good park for an ultimate lover of sea creatures. You can see and swim with dolphins, sea lions and sharks!! There are also dolphin and seal shows as well as polar bear shores where you can see polar bears in a realistic environment. In keeping with the sea world tradition most of the rides are water based! There is also a water park which i personly think is a gigantic waste of time!
Wet'N'Wild water world:
Wet'N'wild is a splashtacular day in water wonderland. It is home of some of the best waterslides in Australia. From fast double speeding free falls to a more gentle wave pool. Wet'n'wild is a fantastic day for everyone of all ages!
Accommodation
Accommodation on the beach front will not be a problem if you book ahead. There are all sorts of accommodation on offer. There are all different prices of accommodation. I would go for something along the lines of $200 a day, because you want your trip to Brisbane to be as luxurious as possible. There are also budget accommodation avaliable, as well as caravan and camping sites along the waters edge!
Most accommodation, is in walking distance to the beach!
Attractions:
From Brisbane you can catch flights to all other major landmarks associated with Queensland Like: The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree rainforest! It makes a great weekend or week out!
