My girlfriend and I attended this year's flower show. I didn't know which was more beautiful, either the pretty flower in my arm or the one's at the show. The beauty of both of these were awe inspiring. They would make you want to plant a new garden or plant two lips on you girlfriends lips. Either way you will enjoy the outcome. We also met her sister Cathy and her boyfriend Sam and her brother Mark and his wife Kim. I had just met her family which made me very nervous when I shook their hands. When all was said and done, this was the perfect place to meet and enjoy the company that we were with.
Don't miss this exquisite show of modern gardening. You will see all the newest technology in gardening. They will sell you anything from an expandable rake to a rubber bristle broom. Which in this case my girlfriend bought the broom and her sister Cathy and her boyfriend Sam bought the rake. Now Kim and Mark bought other assorted things for the garden.
Navy Pier is located on the outer lake shore drive. You can't miss it, just look for the big Ferris wheel on the lake. They say it is free to get in, but they don't tell you that the parking will cost you a small fortune. Plus the walk that you have to take to get back to the pier is a bit of a jog, just ask Kim. She is the one that gets credit for retrieving the vehicle when it was time to go home.
When we arrived at Navy Pier the first thing that I noticed is that you need a pair of jogging shoes to keep up with my girlfriend. You had to hold on to her just to keep up with her because it was a very long walk to the end of the pier. The walk walk to the end was very exciting we saw all different kinds of stained glass, the religious ones were very beautiful. They also had all kinds of different shops and food stops along the way. Included in all of these shops were clothing ones that if they were on my girlfriend would make your eyes pop out.
They also have a huge parking garage if you can ever get in there when they are not full. Plus they have a full supply of theaters if you just want to sit and relax. All the extras that you could see might be a children's museum where you can let them run a little wild if you wish. The food shops that are there range from McDonald's to the best Chicago style pizza that you would ever want to sample. Plus they do have a lot of free samples to try out. From free seeds to soup samples. All of which were very delicious.
There are a lot of outside ride that your kids can enjoy. Plus they also have 3 hour lake dinner or brunch cruises that you can take but you would need reservations to go on them. You can also enjoy the array of fireworks every Wednesday or Saturday. The night looked just as beautiful as my girlfriend is. The mood on the pier always got more romantic as the day went on. Just the togetherness that you get when you spend a day at the pier is well worth all the money that you have in the bank.
