Pros:Good food, good prices
Cons:Low lighting

Rancho Grande, 513 E. Paris, Libertyville?

If you like Mexican food and if you happen to be in the north Chicago area, this is a great place to go. You have your choice of table or booth seating. It is a little dark inside, but you could call it atmosphere - it doesn't have the feel of a brightly lit cardboard box fast food place.

The food is great. Meals range from $5.50 up to about $8.00. If you like chips and salsa, be sure to eat some of the chunky jalapeno stuff they bring out.

If you need a little recreation, they have a pool table in a separate room. If you'd like a drink before or after your meal, you can be served at the table, or they have a bar area next to the pool table.

People may get tired of me giving rosy reviews, but I only talk about the things I really like or really hate. The average will just stay average and blend into the background. Rancho Grande is definately not average.

Note: restaurants can't be added, we were told to add them in this way. Thank you.
