For great savings on sightseeing, check out CityPass. The little booklet saves you 50 percent on sights and attractions in cities like Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco. How does it work? First, plan your trip. If you're going to Boston and you don't want to miss the "Pharaohs of the Sun" exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts (in town through Feb. 6), then start there. At the MFA, buy your CityPass book. In Boston it retails for $27.50 for adults (normally, the total admission prices for the six sights would be $55), $20.50 for seniors and $14 for kids age 12 to 17. The Boston pass gains you entry to the MFA, the phenomenal Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the John Hancock Observatory, the Museum of Science, the New England Aquarium and the fantastic John F. Kennedy Library and Museum. At your first stop, the cashier will take your book, write a date on the outside and tear out the coupon for that particular site. Normally, your booklet is then valid for that and the following eight days, but they're having a special winter promotion where if you use your pass anytime after Jan. 1, it's good through March 31. Make sure not to tear out the coupons yourself, this will invalidate the booklet. CityPass is a great value, especially when you plan to "do" the city and it's no chump list of Steve and Earl's Water Park attractions either. The CityPass booklets have most, if not all, of the biggies in each city.
