Pros: Overloaded with selection, great food court, who doesn't like mini golf?
Cons: Too big, too crowded, and way too over-hyped.
The Bottom Line: You can stay home and still go to the mall. Don't waste your time or your money.

| sammy_marvelle's Full Review: Mall of America |
If you live in America, you've probably been to a mall at some point. In fact, you practically live at the mall, right? Come on, you're not kidding anyone.
Well, I'm pretty much of the opinion that if you've seen one mall, you've pretty much seen them all, and the Mall of America is no different, despite the tourist traps they use to try and lure you in.
When the mall first opened, there were a lot of unique stores and features, but in recent years, the large chain stores (especially clothing stores) are moving in and taking the place of originality. If I'm not mistaken, you probably don't have to travel all the way to Bloomington, Minnesota to go shop at the GAP or American Eagle. The only advantage you would gain doing that would be from the fact that there is no sales tax on clothing in the state of Minnesota.
My advice is, unless you are traveling to the Twin Cities for other reasons (and there are many, many other reasons), don't make the Mall of America your travel destination. Yes it's big, yes there are good restaraunts, but if you make it your sole reason for going to the 'Cities, you are going to be very, very disappointed.
