big cedar lodge is a luxury lodge and conference center located a few minutes south of downtown branson. a registration building/gift shop is surrounded by two restaurants, tennis courts and walking trails. the big draw is the luxurious rooms and the excellent fishing in the area. big cedar also offers a fishing and nature area 40 minutes from the lodge that includes delightful walking paths but involves an extra fee.our room in one of the lodges was spacious, the balcony had a fantastic view of the sunset, and the restaurants offer excellent but expensive food. the hilly terrain is something older guests should consider in advance. although various activities are available with golf nearby, sportsmen are most likely to enjoy big cedar. nothing is cheap and staff responses to requests were a little slow duribg our 4 day stay. for routine visits to branson there are more convenient and less expensive choices, but fior sportsmen and fishermen big cedar lodge is a good choice
