Although in my other review of Branson, you can tell it is not high on my list of travel destinations....I just happen to live in the area! There is one really charming Bed and Breakfast called the Bradford Inn, that I would highly recommend.
The Bradford Inn is unique for Branson in that it was built in good taste, is in the design of a country inn. You almost think you would be in New England, and since it is not on the "strip", but looks down on Branson from a hilltop, it is away from all the chaos.
There are 32 rooms which range from $59-$99 per room, including a full fresh cooked to order breakfast. Each of the rooms are individual in their decor, and most have a whirlpool. Nothing is tacky, but well done, and they have a tremendous repeat business. It is a good idea to make reservations early. Arthur Frommer wrote high remarks about this Inn when he did his book about Branson...
So, if you must go, my best advise would be to try and get a reservation at The Bradford Inn, a quiet in the storm.
