I have been to Vegas numerous times, and in my experiences, it is one of the most fun places on earth. It has everything from around the world, all one one or two streets.
Let's start with the Venetian. The suite I stayed in was the nicest hotel room I had ever been in. With the exception of the presidential suite at the Hilton in Maui, because they double booked us. Hehe. The suite was huge. Two hot tubs, a little excercise room with a TV. Robes, slippers, everything. A 10 person dining table. Wet bar. And even when my sister arrived, we got another little room in addition to the sweet. It was the smallest rooms they have, they were twice the size of a normal room at any other hotel. The Canal Shops downstairs were amazing. They were somewhat of a wheeze from Ceaser's Forum Shops, in that the ceiling was the same. But it was still amazing. You felt like you were outside, WITH air conditioning. It was my favorite hotel in Vegas.
Then there is the MGM, which we were unfortunately banned from, due to the fact that my dad has beef with them. But I stayed in a sweet there as well. It was very nice. Very contemporary, much like the Venetian. The room was huge. not as big, but still, very large. With the same accessories, minus the excercise room.
Bally's was nice too. We had a suite there. I only recommend it though, if you are staying in a suite. The rooms at the Venetian are much nicer. But still, it was very luxurious.
And lastly, the Desert Inn. We stayed there for New Years. We had a suite with a connecting room, and a room on another floor. They treated us well. We arrived, there were complimentary sandwiches, champagne, and wine in our room waiting. I doubt they do that for everybody, but they know how to treat their good customers. The casino is not very large. But they have a five star restaurant there. I don't remember the name. But try the duck, with cranberry sauce. MMM, tasty.
New York New York was ok. The rooms were prety small though. I did not stay in a suite that time. But I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. The food is great. There is one place that serves pizza, and meatball subs, that's all. It is such good pizza. The roller coaster was very fun. You go as high as the hotel does. And they have a Nathan's there as well. Great food. I went there like 6 times in two days.
I will mention that every hotel had a magic shop and fun stuff like that. So they all are good for kids. I place them in this order: Venetian, MGM Grand, New York New York, Desert Inn, Bally's. And New York New York was only up there because of its location next to every fun place. And because of the food.
