About a week ago (summer) I had the joyful advantage of taking a trip to Las Vegas with a few friends. The strip, casinos, buffets, and attractions of various levels truly captured what I had envisioned Las Vegas to be.
Upon arrival...
We arrived at the MGM Grand Casino late afternoon, to find "first class" treatment, Las Vegas style. We darted up the hotel, to find our luxurious suites. They were well furnished, large and in charge.
Service was exquisite...
Our time in the MGM Grand was accompanied by an A+ effort on behalf of the employees who made all visitors feel comforted. They provided great room service (with various foods of all sorts) and were extremely helpful in their knowledge of letting us know of the sights of the MGM, and Vegas as well.
Attractions galore...
Las Vegas is of course well known for it's excellence in the department of shows, entertainment, and casinos. Little did I know, that the same Vegas I had visited years ago, was changed into more of a family friendly area, where entertainment was even more of its stronghold.
While staying at the MGM I was treated to wonderful shows of both magical enlightenment and humorous comedy. The shows are spectacular, and riveting. They are probably the must see part of Las Vegas overall.
Also, there is a small, yet wonderful theme park in the MGM Grand which drew my attention. It provides many rides for kids, teens, and family members alike.
$$$
Casinos are the relative drive that makes most people go to Las Vegas in the first place. Striking big at the MGM Grand not only happens commonly, but it can get addicting. The floor layout is perfect, and the selection of games to play is spectacular for newcomers and advanced gamblers.
In the end...
It all comes down to how great of a time do you truly want to have while in Las Vegas. Taking another route to another no name casino/hotel with limited features may seem all right, but for the ultimate in entertainment and the pure essence of fun, the MGM Grand takes the royal cake. And, for the price, it is well worth it.
