If you want to see a show while in Las Vegas, this has got to the the one and only to see!
As I've said in other opinions, I've been to Las Vegas many times, and I used to live there.
This week, I went back to see my brother graduate high school. While we were there, we went to the Bellagio to see the show, "O" by Cirque du Soleil. Now, they also have a show at the Mirage, Mystere, which I saw a few years ago, but I had never seen "O" before.
To be honest, I didn't even want to see it. My wife sort of convinced me to go.
The show takes place in this incredibly huge auditorium that must seat at least 1500-2000. The auditorium was built just for Cirque du Soleil. We had seats in the 7th row, dead center.
We spent the entire show on the edge of our seats with our mouths wide open! I now know where retired Olympic gymnasts, divers, and synchronized swimmers go work! The show is an incredible mix of music, dance, diving, acrobatics, and swimming. I have never seen anything like it in my life. The music is live, the costuming in beautiful, and the choreography is spectacular.
The only downside was the price. Our tickets were $110. The web site for the Bellagio says tickets are $90-100. The show is dark on Mondays and Tuesdays, but does 2 shows nightly on the other days. It may have been expensive, but I think it was worth it!
If you're going to be in Las Vegas and you want to see a show, this it it!
