Spectacular or disapointment?

Pros: NYPD busted this thug right before our eyes.
Cons: It was rainging, the line was way to long.
The Bottom Line: Do not over excite yourselfs because it could be a disapointing experience.

| ALEX21st's Full Review: Empire State Building |
The Empire state building is located on 5th Avenue between West 33rd and 34th Streets in Midtown Manhattan. My husband and I went to New York for the first time just a few weeks ago and Manhattan was definitely top on our list. We were really excited to see the empire state building but believe it or not we didn’t end up touring it. We had managed to get ourselves so worked up about seeing this 102 story building that when we finally arrived in front of it, the excitement just vanished. I’m not saying that it’s not a spectacular sight but it just wasn’t what I had anticipated it to be. Mike and I just decided to take pictures because the line for the tour was ridiculous and on top of that it was raining. Maybe it was just our luck. We waited maybe about 15 minutes before we decided not to let the day go to waste. We then traveled all around the city by subway (the only way to go and it’s cheap) and were spellbound at other equally spectacular sites, such as the metropolitan museum of art, central park, the statue of liberty and of course the famous time square. It just seemed like it was the least impressive place to waist our money. I don’t know…maybe it was the rain or the crowd or maybe we had just really over anticipated actually being in its presence. Maybe on our next trip up we will get the opportunity to see it again and it won’t be raining and as crowed. I guest since we were staying at the New Yorker (on 34 and 8th) we figured we had all the time in the world to see it. I mean it was only a block away. Until next time, Empire State building, no hard feelings. You will be forever in my heart and in the movies.
