I have to admit, I like to stop to watch the suckers get had, it can be highly entertaining at a distance. Readers: DON'T PLAY 3 CARD MONTE! Another variation has a con escort the mark to an ATM to get change for his big winnings, under the impression that the Monte Dealer has to break a large denomination bill. Bad Idea...

Also, bystanders can get suckered. You may be asked to pick a card even if you aren't betting... A shill will "spot" you the cash without your consent, and when you lose, the pressure is on to cough it up... If you watch, watch from a distance. .. and beware of pickpockets....

like little mini-casinos on sidewalks in NYC eh? The money goes in but doesn't come out!

Cheers from a NY born Bostonian
