Yes, I was one of those who agreed to go to a White Plains Get together (on 10/14/00) and actually went! Yes, yes, people have reasons, emergencies, lives. I'm going to get angry comments aren't I? :)
Since several reviews of the get together have already been written, I'll try not to cover too much previously covered ground.

Yes, I know I tend to review restaurants, but the food has already been discussed. So, here is what I ate: Roast Beast, fried tentacles, chicken in some sort of creamy sauce, bowtie pasta with a red seafood sauce, and a couple of potato like substances. Oh, Wingdman was given buffalo wings as some sort of pun, and I did have a couple of those. The food was good, and it was nice having a buffet setup so that we could serve ourselves.
We really did have a good group. Some highlights are:
ACDC711 convincing Remind via cell phone that she didn't pick me up because I was some hideous gorilla-mutant. ACDC told Remind that she just kept driving. She had her going for a while, and then handed me the phone so I could say hi. :)
Surgrn911 running around with one of those hardhats with a built in flashlight. She really lights up a room. :)
Wingdman's Irish drinking songs. Hey Wing, you sure they have camels in Ireland? He knows more about beer than...whoever it is who knows an awful lot about beer.
Mage67's has incredible movie knowledge, but even he cant compete with Susidee34 if we are talking about old Horror B-Movies.
Lkkalj arrived with Epinions business cards (nifty!) and a disclaimer: Do not try to pronounce my ID!
Deeljea the Brooklyn expert was there. Yes, I know you only wrote one review about Brooklyn, but it was very good.

Lkkalj's hubby who was also great! I really give him credit for sitting and talking with us even though he isn't on the site. Great guy!
Epinions actually sent us sets of four strange skittle like epinions stick-men. Aww, you shouldn't have. Cmon, Epinions, you could have sent us T-shirts (hint, hint.) You know, we would walk around like your little free advertising human billboards.
Nah, you guys don't smoke too much. It must be nuclear winter setting in. (cough, cough)
I want to thank ACDC711 (Denise) and Remind (Zo) for all of their hard work. It was a great get together. They even gave us cute folders, brightly colored pads, a pen, and the profile and one review of each participant. Its great when people are organized, isn't it?
