The Rock Hall of Fame is definitely a place I would recommend people to visit! A person gets the chance to see special exhibits, films, memorabilia, etc, of rock & roll stars. Every aspect of rock & roll music is presented.
I took my mother during the holiday season when they had the Elvis Presley exhibit. The special exhibits are nicely set up and offer a variety of items from the artist's career and life.
I would recommend this museum to young adults and adults, but not young children. I believe they would tend to get bored and not be able to "get into the museum" as far as appreciating it goes. Janis Joplin's car, Jimi Hendrix's jacket, the Beatles clothing, and other great artists items are all here.
The gift shop is nice but some things are pricey. Same with the cafe - very pricey. But all in all, a very good experience and look into the rock & roll music scene. The Rock Hall sits surrounded by beautiful Lake Erie, the Cleveland Browns stadium, the Science Center, and Cleveland.
