Myrtle Beach Always known as "The Grand Strand"
Sun, Sand, Surf, Fun and Good Times. Fishing, Sailing, swimming, and Good Times. Rides, Games, Shows, shagging to beachmusic.....
Located on the east coast in South Carolina there are alot of words to describe Myrtle Beach. But the truth is, its hard to explain. Visited by over 13 million people a year, it is one of the top vacation spots in the US. With people coming as far away as Canada to visit.
My family and I are lucky enough to live within 4 hours from the beach. We have always spent our vacations at the beach. As a child, I can remember working (mowing grass, selling bottles and etc.)
to have extra money to spend. Nothing compared to spending the day on the beach and the night at the Pavilion .(an arcade and amusement area long Ocean Blvd.)
Now as an adult, there is nothing like seeing the beach though my children's eyes. They both have the love of the sand and sea.
When I think of Myrtle Beach I think of the world of a local Beach Song....
"The sand and Sea are calling me,
Memories of salty air....
Myrtle Beach is a wonderful place to visit. There are over 100 championship golf courses, along with Broadway Musicals, Big Name Concerts , Musical Tributes, Shopping at 100's of specialist and outlet stores.
All of this sounds great for some people. But the real draw is the Beach. Water as far as the eye can see. Myrtle Beach consist of 60 miles of coast line.
Close your eyes, picture the surf gently lapping against the sand, smell the salt air, feel the sand with your toes. Relax and learn what alot of people already know. There is no place like Myrtle Beach......
