I took my family out for dinner at the Cool River Cafe only to be insulted. Not only did they misquote the prices on their specials by $4, they also ruined the night.A waiter offered complimentary coffee, but when we got the bill we were charged $12 for it!!I brought this and other discrepancies of the bill to the waiter only to be abandoned for ten minutes. Afterward, a Hispanic serving assistant came to our table trying to explain the discrepancies we had,not in English but Spanish. Why?, could it be that we were primarily Hispanic. The ironic thing about this was that only one of use could speak Spanish. After being insulted by this, we asked to speak to the manager who was of no help. I told him that I was insulted that he felt as if he had to send an Hispanic person over to help me figure out the bill. He NEVER apologized for it, had our table been Caucasian, I doubt they would have sent over a Spanish speaking person to us. Did they think we could not comprehend our receipt in English? The next day, I called the General Manager and he investigated the problem only enough to tell me that his staff said that it never happened and they never give away product(coffee)!I guess I only dreamed this and this was just a figment of my imagination.This was the worst $300 I EVER spent. This establishment does not cater very well to large groups and children. They don't even offer a child menu. After thirty minutes of disgust, they adjusted the bill and lost my business forever!!!!
