When you walk in to Rudy's, you are met by a sign that reads, "Real People Eat Meat". I knew I had arrived in Texas.
Their meat is the best you will find for the price, and it's ready right when you get there. I ordered a half slab of baby back ribs. The "sause" is do-it-yourself, which eliminates the need for those moist towelettes they give you at Damon's. It's a fairly hot sauce, but it still compliments the taste of the meat.
Another interesting thing was that the guy handed me a stack of white bread. I decided to put the ribs under a layer of sauce rolled in slices of bread, and it made for a good meal.
All in all, I don't think Rudy wasn't being very fair to himself when he calls his restaurant the worst Bar-B-Que in all of Texas, but hey, it didn't stop me from coming, and it hopefully won't stop you either.
