The place blows. Anyone who goes there is goign to leave thinking space is boring and not cool. Until very recently, we had a pretty severe epidemic of that nationwide.
If you really want to know what going into space is like, I recommend the book Leaving Earth. I've forgotten the author, but it's a really good and realistic look at both the Russian and American space program.

visiting the Space Center in 1990. I was surprised at how small the old "Mission Control" room is....
The price of $16.95 ...why, that's astronomical (sorry for that).
