you have had 1,000's of hits on this review. I am sorry that I am just reading it now, but it was posted before I began at "E". Still..no excuse. I should have read this when we were going regularly.
Creative idea for a review!

Re: Good Stuff (Reply to this comment)

Hello, can you or anyone else tell more about the 2 for 1. I am just back from Disneyland and I loved it. Cannot wait to go back.
I concur with many of the comments here. Go midweek at quiet times and find little to no line ups. The security checked our bags every time we entered the park area. We packed snacks - grapes, apples, carrots, goldfish, water, chocolate we were loaded and they just said welcome so I am guessing that they are just looking for safety and security certainly not food. One of the problems I had with the cost of the food in the park was the serving sizes. After running around the park all day my 7 year old could eat a bear so fill them up with good snacks then have a slow late lunch at 2 or 3. Take a break and go all night. Also go to California adventure on Saturday afternoon.
All for now, enjoy the happiest place on earth.

Good Stuff (Reply to this comment)

Everything in your Review is very helpful. However, you did not mention that Disneyland has the 2 for 1 deal that comes up once during the year. This deal saves a lot of money and you get to go to two parks for the price of one.

Great Advice!!!! (Reply to this comment)
by temculasuz
From a local’s perspective, this is a great review, with lots of good ideas to save money. A word of caution for all, since September 11th, Disney is for the first time checking bags at the door. Soooo, all that food we bring in might now might be confiscated. Don’t let them make you throw it away and waste it; there are lockers on the outside of the park near the picnic area, which is to the left of the entrance. This is another good option if you want to save money, bring a picnic lunch.
Also the shopping center mentioned is actually the Anaheim Plaza Shopping Center, with lots of stores that carry things you forgot. Its exact location is just off the 5 freeway North at Euclid, you’ll see it off the freeway to the right just before the exit. Make a right off the freeway to get there.

Chock Full of Great Information (Reply to this comment)

Hi,
Thanks for sharing all the great information. The list motel phone numbers is especially helpful.
We visit Disney World mostly since we're down in Florida a lot. Hope to get over to CA soon.
See you again.

Great family piece! (Reply to this comment)

Tks. This is such a good family traveling piece. I've seen a lot of DL writings, but this one is my fav. As a single mom with 2 boys, saving money is really critical. But, we like to have fun too.

Good tips... (Reply to this comment)
by AEOakley
If at all possible, we always pack a lunch when going to Disneyland. The food prices are absolutely outrageous!!
We've found the park least-crowded on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Since we're spending so much $$ to be there, we try to make the most of our day -- having shorter lines sure helps!!
