Great fun for all... or at least the mild hearted.

Pros: Amazing attractions, great effects, lots of shopping
Cons: Expensive, should stay open later, too many shops selling the same things.
The Bottom Line: Very fun family oriented park. I would recommend to anyone interested in movies or special effects, or anyone not looking for fast rides.

| molly143's Full Review: Universal Studios Florida |
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure as our theme parks of choice when we packed up and headed from Alaska, to the furthest place we could go... Florida. The first day was Universal Studios, and I couldn't wait. Growing up watching Nickelodeon, and hearing "filmed in Universal Studios, Florida" built me up to vacation here since childhood.
We came inside, and the park was very pleasant. It wasn't dirty, and they had music from different movies playing as you walked in. Very nice atmosphere. The "streets" were dotted with different shops, from candy stores to novelty shops, pretty much anything having to do with a Universal Studios movie. We decided to save the shopping until later, and head for the attractions.
We started with Twister, and made our way through the entire park. Here are a few highlights that are surely not to be missed. (Keep in mind I'm not big on action, and appreciate these attractions for their creativity and production value)
1. Back to the Future
This ride was great! It was fun, exciting, and realistic. MAKE SURE TO GET IN THE FRONT SEAT OF THE CAR!
2. ET
I'll have to say, this is the attraction I was expecting to be the lamest. It turned out to be one of my favorites. Again, try to get up front!
3. Twister
The attraction wasn't much for adventure, but the effects were awesome! It seemed like you had just stepped into the film itself!
I was quite pleased with pretty much every attraction, but the few that were on the down end of the spectrum were as follows:
1. Earthquake
It was cute, with good acting, but it was more educational than interesting.
2. Jaws
This was the one that I thought would be my favorite. Well, it wasn't. If it hadn't been for the excellent acting of our "guide" it wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining. It didn't hurt that he was really cute, too. ;)
I did enjoy each both of the above attractions as well, it was just that the others were much better.
If you only had one park to chose from, only pick Universal Studios if you AREN'T looking for thrills and excitement. Universal is very mild, and none of the attractions were really scary or anything. This isn't a bad thing! I personally can't stand roller coasters or fast rides, so this was just the thing for me. I had a wonderful time.
