Pros: Fun change of pace from Disney, street performers, Back to the Future Ride, Nickelodeon Studios.
Cons: Not run as well as Disney World, things don't always follow their posted schedules, not enough to keep you entertained for more than a day or two.

| Angellcatt's Full Review: Universal Studios Florida |
On my third trip to Disney World (I have since taken a fourth) I decided I could spare a day to journey to Universal Studios nearby. It was fun and a nice change of pace, but it was no Disney.
For me, the highlights were the street performers, the Back to the Future ride, and watching a taping at Nickelodean Studios.
In full costume and never dropping character for a moment as they wander the park are street performers/actors. They stop periodically and perform a scene or simply interact with one another at various locations throughout the park. As opposed to Disney they are not supposed to be specific people from movies and thus have a lot more freedom. They are very fun to watch.
The Back to the Future ride had a tremendous line, but it was worth the wait. It is one of those rides where your seat moves in conjunction with a movie screen that fills your feild of vision, so that you feel as though you are experiencing what is on the screen. There are other tamer versions of this ride elsewhere in the park, but the Back to the Future version is where it is at.
If you go to Nickelodeon Studios in the morning when you first get to the park you can get tickets to be in the live audience for whatever show is taping the day that you are there. For us it was Legends of the Hidden Temple. It was fun to not only get a behind the scenes look, but to be an active participant. As far as I know there is nothing like that available at Disney World.
When I say it was no Disney, there were just little things that kept popping up all day that reminded us that we weren't in Kansas anymore. For example, the sidewalks were dirty. When someone spilled an icecream on the ground, no groundcleaner emerged out of the woodwork immediately to clean it up like they do at Disney World. People cut on the lines for the rides and none of the employees stopped them. And things didn't always run according to the posted schedules. It was still a fun themepark to visit for a day, but it couldn't keep you entertained for a whole week the way Disney World can, and it just wasn't run as efficiently.
