Universal Studios Florida, now including Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Escape, is now far more exciting than Disney World.
The original Universal Studios has many exciting rides including Back to the Future, Jaws, Twister(fairly new), Hanna Barbara, King Kong, Earthquake, Terminator 2, and many more. Arriving this year is The Men and Black ride which is supposed to be absolutely amazing.
The new Islands of Adventure is also amazing. However, this park is generally for the older group, as there are height restrictions on many rides including the roller coasters. Islands of Adventure is for the more daring and adventurous person, while the original Universal park is for the more laid back. Islands of Adventure has 3 roller coasters, another high tower ride, as well as other wild rides.
Universal studios Escape is the area in front of both theme parks. This area must be crossed in order to get from the parking garages to the parks. In here are many neat stores and theme restaurants. Included is Emeril Lagasse's restaurant, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Nascar Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, and a Bob Marley Club. Thee restaurants can be accessed without going to the parks so a family can come for dinner without having to pay to enter the theme parks(however, there is a $6 charge for parking). Universal Escape is a great addition to what they already have and is extremely similar to Downtown Disney.
Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios Escape is a must see for anyone visiting the Orlando area.
