| SurgRN911's Full Review: Universal Studios Florida |
Pat O'Briens in City Walk at Universal Studio is a must. It is one of many night spots that City Walk offers, the weary park worn out patron.
It is a replica of the Pat O'Briens in New Orleans. One of their hottest sells is the world famous hurricane. POB's is actually in 3 sections.....the patio, where families, couples, or a group of friends can sit under the stars, around a fountain, and eat a full meal, sandwiches, or just a night cap before heading home.
There also is a bar section, which offers a wide screen TV for those that need that sports score hit. Juke box music, and a nice gathering spot, the younger set seems to spend time here.
Now for the third and best section (in my opinion) is the piano bar. This section offers cocktail hour from 6-8PM nightly. This is the time when the entire family can sit and relax after a hard day of play. The atmosphere is one that catches you right up in it. There are two pianos with entertainment from 6 P-2A nightly. Children are not allowed in this section after 8PM
The players are magnificent, they love to engage the audience in participating in the fun. It's an all request show. The music venue is geared towards the crowd requesting. So anything goes from Big Band to Pop Rock. The players are very talented, and more than willing to do any song you request. On any given night there is a total of six players. Two do the two hours at cocktail time. Then at 8 two more players take the floor, then switch offer every hour.
If you are at Universal stop in and say hello, request a song, then hours later wonder where did the time go?
