vbook's Full Review: Audubon Institute Aquarium of the Americas
The aquarium is a wonderful place to visit. Especially for kids. They can see things there that they can not see normally. I went once with my husband and we really enjoyed it. I went another time with my son and nephew and also my eighth grade students, everyone was awed by the sharks. Also the gulf exhibit is really neat, with all the huge catfish.

The giftshop is rather expensive and the fact that there are two of them is a little over done. But the kids on the trip, really enjoyed it.

The tropic exhibit is really beautiful and exotic. It is kind of strange when a large bird flies by your head.

The hands on exhibit is the most fun, children of all ages get a big kick out of touching a real live baby shark

Don't miss this on your trip to New Orleans.
