We visit the San Diego Wild Animal Park several times a year. And each time it gets better and better. It is just an amazing oppurtunity to see the animals such as Giraffes, Lions, Elephants, Rhino's, Etc..in their natural habitat. I could visit the wild animal park every day, and see something new every time.
The Kilamanjaro walk is the best walk i've ever taken. It is amazing how close you can get to the animals, my son and I were only like 4 feet from a giraffe. It was just a great experience seeing it up that close, and not looking through a cage. I love the wild animal park because the animals aren't in cages, they are free to wonder, and behave as they would in the wild..which is how it should be.
We went a few months ago, and there were SO many baby's that had just been born, the animals are so comfortable that they don't hide the babies! You always see new additions to the animal park. And the staff takes such excellent care of the animals. They are currently constructing a huge animal hospital, they just don't spare any expense when it comes to these animals. It is the cleanest animal place I have ever visited.
My son can't wait to turn 12 so he can go on the safari tour..and actually feed the animals by hand. He is so anxious to take the truck ride out onto the field, and touch and feed the animals..well, I should say the giraffes, and things like that. Not the lions :) There is something for all ages at the wild animal park. And the Tram is a wonderful ride, it lasts over an hour..and you get to see so much of the park while on the tram. I plan to continue to visit the park over and over again.
