The Most Highly Recommended Park I Have Ever Visited!

Pros: Exhibits, landscaping, animals, just about everything!
Cons: Price, strollers EVERYWHERE.
The Bottom Line: Sea World California is the most beautiful and amazing park I have ever visited. Highly Recommended!

Anheuser-Busch should be extremely proud of themselves for the job they have done with parks like Sea World and others such as Busch Gardens. This park is really one to raise the bar for what other parks should be. This Sea World is actually one of their smaller ventures, but you wouldn't realize that by visiting. The arenas their shows are presented in are like small sports venues, big enough for many, many people. The animal enclosures are all very large, and I thought the animals seemed happy and content in their surroundings.
Most of the exhibits have an announcer who talks about the animals and will answer questions. Some have times of the day you can partake in feedings. The most amazing area was the enormous pool where you could pet 2 different species of very large stingrays (stingers were removed), who really enjoyed the people and came right up to be pet. There were also sharks in there, but they were more shy. Then there is a hands-on tidal area with starfish, clams and such. They have these completely amazing sea slugs (nudibranches) who are fluorescently colored and would eat lettuce right out of your hands.
I really enjoyed the freshwater exhibits building as there were many fish in there that you might have in your own aquarium at home, just bigger! There is also an area with rescued Manatees, the biggest operation outside of Florida. On top of this, there are some gigantic tanks of fish that are enormous. Such as Arrowanas, Red Tail Catfish, Pike, and many others. Some of these fish are much, much larger than you and I. As for the shows, we saw them all and they were very amusing. I highly recommend "Fools With Tools".
The company generally cares about the well-being of its animals and the environment. None of the habitats are overcrowded and it seems they made them to be more like their natural habitats. The landscaping of this park is the most amazing and beautiful you are likely to see at any park. Each plant and tree is masterfully pruned, and every one of them has a little sign that tells genus and species. The park was perfectly clean and kept up. It is absolutely gorgeous!
The only negatives here would be the price-which would not keep me from going back-and the lack of vegetarian selections at the restaurants. Other than that, Sea World is amazing, fun and beautiful. I had a smile on my face from when I walked in until I left! I really loved it!
