| Korie's Full Review: Sea World California |
I had been wanting to go to Sea World for nearly half of my life and never got the chance until last year.
This place lived up to all my expectations. It was well worth the money spent.
Of course the whale show is the biggest attraction. This is a must see or else your trip to Sea World is worthless. This was really cool. It is incredible to see these mammals. They are huge. The show was very entertaining and informative. I suggest getting there early to get a good seat though. We ended up on the very top, because we got lost and couldn't find our way to Mission Bay. (It was only one mile from our Hotel.)
There are some of the neatest things to see. Dolly the dolphin was a great show. It was really fun.
The sea lion show was also a very popular attraction. This one was really funny.
You must see the shark exhibit. It is a tube that goes through the exhibit. It is like something out of Jaws. The kids got a kick out of that one. It was wild. Then of course there were places where you could see other sharks.
Then there was the Sting Ray attraction where you could actually pet the sting ray's and feed them. It was really neat.
Then the penguin place. This was neat, but it smelled terrible. If you can't stomach strong smells, you might want to skip this one.
They also had a polar bear exhibit, but my kids were too young to get in it.
Then there was Busch Gardens, where they had a baby Clydsdale. This place was attractively landscaped. It was beautiful.
The other must see attraction is a place where you can actually pet dolphins. Although, my kids cried all the way back to the hotel because they didn't get a chance to pet one. Too many people.
The food was really expensive, but it was soooo good. I don't know if walking around made me hungry or what, but that food was delicious. A lot of it too.
We went in July and it was really hot. You will need sunscreen or you will suffer. It wasn't so big that you died walking through. It was about the right size, and we were able to see all that we wanted in our stay.
This is a great family vacation place. Plan to pay about $30 a ticket for adults. Children are a little less I think.
