Sea World...a world of It's own!

As a one time resident of beautiful San Diego for 9 years, I spent many days & summer nights at Sea World. I had an annual pass for most of the time I lived there. I am a big fan of marine life & Sea World always kept me in touch with it. ;o)
My favorite time to go is during the summer as they have a full line up of different shows to see after dark as well as other special entertainment around the park. Not only can you learn a lot about the ocean & it's residents, but you can have a lot of fun at the same time.
The grounds are very well manicured & are always picture perfect. The staff is very friendly & will help you in any way they can. I also found that a lot of other annual pass holders were willing to give visitors directions & handy tips or suggestions either while you are looking at the map of the park or waiting for a show to start.
I would strongly suggest that if you decide to go in the summer, make a weekend of it so you can see all the shows & other attractions the park has to offer during the day & night as well.
When you decide to see a show, get there early as the good seats will fill up fast. Be careful where you sit as well. The staff will tell you that if you sit in the blue seats, you might get wet. I'm here to tell you from my own experience, you WILL get wet in those seats. I found it very refreshing to get drenched on a hot summer day but a bit much to handle at night when it cools off, as the park is located right on Mission Bay & there is usually a light breeze throughout the park.
The last tip I have, should you decide to visit Sea World, is to bring your suntan lotion. San Diego has wonderful weather all year long & I've had my share of sun burns, even if it wasn't summer time.
As I look back on living in San Diego, one thing I cherish is the closeness Sea World brought me to the love I have of the wonderful creatures of the sea. That is something that I will always remember & hold dear to my heart for many years to come.
