It's too bad, but FAR too much of the world focuses on rules and efficiency and forgets all about the time-honored concepts of service and flexibility --- concepts that SHOULD be at the heart and soul of a business that calls itself the "hospitality" industry.
You're right. A bad experience can cast a palor over what might have otherwise been a very positive experience.
