I went to Panorama with my family a couple of years ago and it was one of our best vacations! The Silver Lodging Units are townhouses located right at the base of the mountain and you can ski right down to your front door or to the outdoor hot tubs. The Town house was able to comfortably accommodate all seven of us and had a full kitchen and cozy fireplace. We were able to borrow movies from the nearby store as well as basic groceries and snacks. This is a great place to stay with either your family or a group of friends splitting the cost. The lodge is large with good food. The ski and snowboarding instructors are also really great. They have programs for all ages so parents go drop their 5 year old off in ski class while they ski. I learned how to snowboard during this trip and our instructor was so much fun and a great teacher. The communal in ground hot tubs are also great for soaking those sore muscles and warming up while socializing with other skiers or snowboarders. Some people brought beer with them to the hot tubs and that was fine, as long as people are mature about it. We were sad when it was time to leave. They had good runs and you didn't have to wait in long lines for the ski lifts.
